These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on this site. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.

The contract between us

Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with Platoon Stores. Platoon Stores must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed. Payment is not taken until the point of despatch of the goods to you from our distribution centre.

Once payment has been received Platoon Stores will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. Platoon Stores’s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.

Platoon Stores is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by e-mail. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether.

General terms

These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non–exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.

Additional terms and conditions may apply for prize competitions, online bidding, pre–release orders and our added value services and offers. If so, you will be alerted to them at the relevant juncture.

These terms and conditions only cover the Platoon Stores website. Any other websites which are linked to from this site are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites, which are not under our control. We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.

Rochester Guns/ Platoon Stores own the copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this website, which you may use, download, copy, publish, transmit or otherwise make available by any other means only for your own personal, non–commercial use. Any other use or reproduction of the material or content is strictly prohibited.

You may not create any link to this website without prior written consent, nor may you restrict or inhibit the use or enjoyment of it by anyone else.

While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the Rochester Guns/ Platoon Stores website, we make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.

Payment details

Platoon Stores accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Maestro and Delta. All product prices and delivery charges are shown in UK pounds sterling. Your payment card company will perform any currency conversion.

Upon receiving your order Platoon Stores carries out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds in order to fulfil the transaction. No payment is debited from your card during this pre-authorisation check. Your card will only be charged upon dispatch of the items in your order. Your card will not be debited for items in your order which have not been dispatched, apart from magazine subscriptions, which, due to their nature are invoiced before the magazine is dispatched.

Availability of goods you order

If Platoon Stores has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, we will notify you as soon as possible and any sum debited by Platoon Stores from your credit card will be re-credited to your account and Platoon Stores will notify you by email at the address given by you in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. Platoon Stores will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Please note: we endeavour to bring our customers the best value we can by running special offers, but please remember stocks are limited at the special offer price, and subject to availability. We update our website as quickly as we can to minimise disappointment. The process of updating the website when goods have sold out at promotional price can take a few hours to update.

Changes to this agreement

Platoon Stores reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these terms and conditions at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unforeseen, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery can be to any address as long the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. Platoon Stores only deliver to the United Kingdom (the Channel Islands and, the Isle of Man and the Scottish islands will incur additional charges). All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.

When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.

All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability. Small parcels may be delivered via Royal Mail. Delivery is next working day subject to availability. However, delivery may take up to five working days.

The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.

Delivery will be between the hours of 7am and 6pm; we are unable to confirm a time.

Platoon Stores will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Platoon Stores shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.

Deliveries will be attempted at your chosen address on the following day if the first delivery was unsuccessful. If your delivery was unsuccessful on the second attempt then a card will be left at your address allowing you to contact the delivery service and arrange a collection, you may pay an extra £4.00 for a third attempt on delivery. If you can not collect your goods within 5 days or have not paid for the re-delivery then it will be returned to Platoon Stores. All returned orders to Platoon Stores will be refunded via the method of payment; you will incur a £9.99 charge for the attempted deliveries. If you purchase a firearm or air weapon which we will not ship (see below) you will be charged a fee, which will be deducted from your refund. 

Firearms including Air Weapons.

Firearms will only be shipped to a Registered Firearms Dealer and this will be subject to a specific delivery charge. This will only be done by prior agreement. Customers should ring 01634 829063 to arrange this. If you fail to do this you will be charged a fee which will be removed from your refund. 

VCRA Compliance.

A legal defence is required to purchase VCRA affected products (RIF airsoft guns) and shipping will only occour after a customer has proven their defence by providing a currently insured airsoft club membership number or been passed by the UKARA database system. A £5 processing charge will be levied against any customer who fails to provide a satisfactory defence and this will be deducted at point of refund by Platoon Stores.

Postage

You will only pay one delivery charge per order, which will be the highest depending on the contents of your order and your chosen delivery service. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.

Force Majeure

Platoon Stores shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.

Returns 

If you need to return a product purchased from Platoon Stores then you have 28 working days to do so. The returned goods must be in a unused resalable state and any goods or accessories that accompany the returned product must also come back to us. We are not liable for return postage.

The goods should also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories. All items should be properly protected and wrappped for return, do not sticker or attach address labels to original boxes. We reserve the right to charge for products that are returned with parts missing or have been used.

If the return is due to missing or faulty parts then we will offer a full refund or replacement provided we are aware of this within 3 working days.

Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge.

Cancellation of Orders

You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on the Platoon Stores website, or by phoning us on 01634 829063 All orders taken before 10am will be processed and normally sent for delivery by 4pm the same day.
